Samsung’s new foldable phones will be the company’s next flagship launch of the year. Given the increasing popularity of its foldable phones, it goes without saying that there’s a lot of excitement for what the company will introduce this year.
It was only a matter of time before the leaks began, and the rumor mill is now kicking things off with the first Galaxy Z Fold 6 renders. These renders published by SmartPrix and OnLeaks give us a glimpse of what design changes the company is making, and evidently, Samsung has gone for a super sleek look.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 renders show off an exciting design
The overall design is characteristically Galaxy Z Fold, but it’s ever so slightly boxier with straight, clean lines. It looks sleek and stylish, undoubtedly more aesthetically pleasing than the models that have come before it. According to these renders, the dimensions of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 when it is unfolded. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the upcoming foldable phone is 1.4mm shorter and 2.6mm wider.
The renders also show the two halves of the device folding almost completely flat with little to no panel gap. While it may be a bit pronounced in the actual device, we know that Samsung has been working to reduce the panel gap and make the two halves sit as flush as possible. It’s quite possible that there will be an improvement on this front with the Galaxy Z Fold 6. A previous rumor has suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be the thinnest foldable phone. It still lacks an S Pen slot, though.
The phone reportedly features a 6.2-inch screen on the outside and a 7.6-inch screen on the inside.
It’s pertinent to note that these may be early renders, and what we’re seeing here may be subject to change. However, if history is any indication, it’s only ever minor changes, as early renders these days are typically a good representation of what the final product will look like. You can watch it in 360 degrees in the high-resolution video below.
There is no word yet on the confirmed Galaxy Z Fold 6 specs, but it will obviously feature the latest Qualcomm chipset with other top-notch components. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the second half of this year.
